Terms of Service (United States)
Last updated 13 October 2026
1. Who we are and what Plan@Job is
Plan@Job ("the platform", "we", "us", "our") is owned and operated by Planajob Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16872267, with its registered office at Office 1782, 60 Tottenham Court Road, Fitzrovia, London W1T 2EW, United Kingdom. The platform is built and maintained for Planajob Ltd by Net Access Market Ltd. Contact: support@planajob.com.
Plan@Job is software: an operations and job-management platform through which property managers ("clients") create work orders, general contractors and trade businesses ("contractors") send estimates for and manage that work, and contractors work with their own subcontractors and crew. Much of the platform can also be operated through a connected AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT.
By creating an account, signing in, or using the platform in any way, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the business you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Business use only
The platform is provided for business use only. By using it you confirm that you are acting for a trade, business or profession and not as a consumer, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you have authority to bind the business you register. The platform is not offered to consumers for personal, family or household purposes.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate, current company and contact information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done under your account and your organization's accounts, including accounts your organization creates for its team members and crew. If your organization creates an account for you, your organization accepts these terms on your behalf and your use of the platform is your acceptance of them.
Access to some capabilities - including the wider marketplace, introducing other businesses and full use of the platform by contractors - is earned, subject to eligibility criteria we set (which may include verification, completed-job history, ratings, subscription or completion of onboarding), and may be added, changed, withheld or removed at our discretion. Nothing in these terms entitles any member to a particular level of access.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, provide false information or documents, post abusive or unlawful content, misuse other members' data, or otherwise put the platform or its members at risk.
4. Our role - a platform, not a party to the work
Plan@Job connects independent businesses. We are not a contractor, a licensed contractor, a staffing agency, an employer, an insurer, a broker, or an agent of any member (except as narrowly described in section 7). We do not perform, supervise, direct or control any work arranged through the platform, and we do not hold any contractor license for that work.
Every contract for work - between a client and a contractor, and between a contractor and a subcontractor or crew member - is made directly between those parties. We are not a party to it. The price, scope, timing, quality, warranties and performance of the work are matters between those parties alone.
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING DONE THROUGH YOUR ACCOUNT. That includes every work order, estimate, change order, invoice, payment, message, document, review, hire, award, schedule, site visit and decision made by you, your team, your crew or any AI assistant you connect, and your compliance with every law, license, permit, insurance, tax and worker-classification rule that applies to you. Plan@Job provides the software; it does not check, approve or take responsibility for what members do with it.
Any dispute about work arranged through the platform (including defects, damage, delay, non-payment between members, liens, or anything that happens on site) is between the members involved. We may, at our sole discretion, help pass messages or records between the parties, but we have no obligation to mediate or resolve any dispute and we accept no liability for its outcome.
5. Verification - what it is and what it is not
Trade businesses upload evidence such as certificates of insurance, workers' compensation certificates or state exemptions, state and trade license details, and a confirmation that a W-9 is on file. Where we show a link to a state licensing board, it is a convenience so you can check the license yourself; we do not operate those lookups and do not guarantee their results. A document review is a check of the evidence presented at that time, not an audit, investigation or guarantee of the underlying facts.
A "verified" or "approved" status means only that the evidence presented passed our review at that time. It is not an endorsement, a warranty, or a guarantee of identity, honesty, competence, licensing, insurance coverage or future performance. Insurance and licenses can lapse, be cancelled or not cover a particular job.
You must do your own due diligence before engaging any business you meet through the platform, including checking licenses with the relevant state or local authority and confirming insurance with the insurer where it matters to you, exactly as you would if you had met them anywhere else.
By uploading a document you confirm that it is genuine, unaltered, accurately described and belongs to you or your organization. Providing false or forged documents is grounds for immediate removal and may be reported to the relevant authorities. Never upload a full Social Security number or a completed tax form; the platform does not ask for them.
6. Work orders, estimates, change orders and contracts between members
Clients create work orders; contractors send estimates; an accepted estimate (plus any accepted change orders) forms the contract for the work between the client and the contractor at that price, and work is treated as authorized to start from acceptance. Work orders, estimates, photos, completion reports and all other job content are produced by members, not by us, and we do not check them for accuracy.
Contractors are solely responsible for including any terms, notices and disclosures that state or local law requires in their contracts and on their invoices (for example home-improvement contract requirements, licensing disclosures, permit obligations, preliminary or lien notices, and any right-to-cancel notice owed to a homeowner). The platform's templates are a convenience and are not legal advice.
Contractors may pass work to their own subcontractors and crew on the contractor's own terms. That arrangement, including its terms and payment, is between the contractor and the subcontractor or crew member. The contractor remains fully responsible to its client for the work regardless of who performs it. Lien waivers and retainage, where used, are arranged between the members; the platform only stores the documents they upload.
7. Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. If you add your business bank details (routing and account number) so that clients can pay you directly, we store them and show them on the estimates and invoices you send. Where an invoice raised on the platform is payable through the platform, the contractor appoints us (or our designated group company) as its limited agent solely to receive that payment on its behalf, and payment received by us discharges the payer's obligation to the contractor for the amount paid. We are not a bank, a money transmitter, an escrow service or a lender, and we do not hold funds as a fiduciary.
Fees, prices for prepaid credits and any commission we charge are shown in the platform before you incur them and may change on notice. Inside the platform, paid actions are priced in credits. Except where the law requires otherwise, prepaid credits and fees are non-refundable and credits have no cash value.
8. Subscriptions, automatic renewal and cancellation
Plan@Job plans are MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS THAT RENEW AUTOMATICALLY. When you complete checkout you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method the amount shown at checkout immediately, and then the same amount every month on the same day of the month, until you cancel. There is no minimum term and no setup fee. Usage-based items shown at checkout (for example extra users, properties past the included number, or a project fee) are added to the next monthly invoice.
Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay and do not include sales tax, which is added where it applies in your state. The charge appears on your statement as PLANAJOB. A receipt is emailed for every payment and every invoice is available in your billing settings.
We may change the price of a plan on at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after that notice, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
YOU CAN CANCEL AT ANY TIME, online, from billing settings in your account, or by emailing support@planajob.com from the address on the account. Cancellation stops all future payments. It takes effect at the end of the monthly period you have already paid for, and you keep your access until then. We do not ask for a reason and we will not make you call anyone to leave.
If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it and we may email you. If it is still unpaid we may suspend paid features until it is settled. You remain liable for any period in which the platform was available to you.
By completing checkout you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method, that you are buying for a business (section 2), and that you accept these terms. You agree that your acceptance is an electronic signature under the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN). It is recorded with the date and time, the plan and price shown to you, and the network address it came from, and we may produce that record as evidence.
9. Refunds, and what to do before disputing a charge
Because the platform and its onboarding are available immediately on payment, monthly fees are NOT refundable once a monthly period has started. Cancelling stops the next payment rather than refunding the current one. Prepaid credits, lead purchases and fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
We will always refund a payment we should not have taken: a duplicate charge, a charge taken after a valid cancellation, or a charge taken in error by us. Tell us and we will put it right, normally within five business days.
TALK TO US BEFORE YOU DISPUTE A CHARGE WITH YOUR BANK. If anything about a payment looks wrong, email support@planajob.com and give us seven days to resolve it. Almost everything raised as a card dispute - an unrecognized descriptor, an unexpected renewal, a cancellation that did not go through - we can fix faster than a bank can.
Raising a chargeback for a service you have used, or instead of cancelling, is a breach of these terms. Where a chargeback is raised without contacting us first, we may suspend your account, we will respond to the card network with the evidence we hold (including your electronic acceptance of these terms, the plan and price shown at checkout, receipts, invoices, sign-in and usage records, and our correspondence with you), and we may recover the disputed amount and any dispute fee charged to us as a debt owed to us.
10. Taxes, worker classification and paying your subcontractors and crew
Contractors pay their subcontractors and crew directly, outside the platform, and are solely responsible for those payments and for all related tax and employment obligations. That includes collecting Forms W-9, filing Forms 1099-NEC, backup withholding where required, payroll taxes for employees, completing Form I-9 for employees, and correctly classifying each worker as an employee or an independent contractor under federal and state law (some states, such as California, apply a strict "ABC" test). The platform records only yes/no confirmations that a W-9 or I-9 is on file and never stores those forms, Social Security numbers or ITINs. An EIN you choose to add is stored and may appear on your documents.
Each member is responsible for its own sales and use tax, including deciding whether its services or materials are taxable in each state and charging the right rate. Tax figures the platform displays are tools to help, not tax advice.
11. Insurance, licensing, permits and legal compliance
Trade businesses must hold and maintain the insurance, licenses, registrations, bonds and certifications required by law for the work they take on - including general liability insurance, workers' compensation insurance as required by their state, state and local contractor licenses, trade licenses (for example electrical, plumbing, HVAC and EPA Section 608), and EPA Lead-Safe (RRP) firm certification for renovation, repair or painting work that disturbs paint in pre-1978 housing. They must obtain any required permits and comply with OSHA and all other safety rules on site.
Clients are responsible for providing lawful access to properties, for their obligations to residents and owners (including habitability and notice-of-entry rules), and for any disclosures they owe, such as lead-based paint disclosures. Each member is responsible for its own compliance with the law; we are not.
12. Content, reviews and community
You keep ownership of the content you upload (photos, videos, documents, messages, posts) and grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display and process it as needed to run the platform and show it to the right people. You must not upload anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or anything you have no right to share.
Reviews, community posts, messages and profiles are the statements of the members who post them, not ours. We do not verify them and are not responsible for them, though we may moderate or remove content, or remove members, at our discretion.
You must not scrape the platform, harvest members' data, reverse engineer the platform, resell access, misuse contact details obtained through the platform, or use the platform to send unlawful marketing.
13. Leads, contact data and marketing rules
The platform may offer business leads for a price in credits. Leads are provided as-is: we do not guarantee that a lead is accurate, current, exclusive or will turn into work, and credits spent on leads are not refundable because of the outcome.
If you import contact details into the platform, or contact people whose details you obtained through it, you are solely responsible for that use and for complying with the laws that govern it, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (calls and text messages), the CAN-SPAM Act (email), state telemarketing and privacy laws, and do-not-call rules.
14. Privacy and data
How we handle personal data is described in our US Privacy Notice at us.planajob.com/privacy, which forms part of these terms. Where members add personal data about other people (for example residents, owners or crew), the member must have the right to share it for that purpose, and recipients may use it only for the job, engagement or related administration it was shared for.
15. AI assistant connections
You can choose to connect an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your account. The assistant then acts only within the permissions you approve and sees only what you could see signed in yourself. Every action an assistant takes on your instruction is your action: you are solely responsible for it and for checking its output before you rely on it, exactly as if you had done it in the platform yourself. Plan@Job does not review or approve what an assistant does and is not responsible for its output, its mistakes or its provider. What you send to that assistant is handled by its provider under that provider's own terms.
16. Availability of the service and disclaimer of warranties
We provide the platform with reasonable skill and care, but THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not promise that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features as the platform evolves. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of records you are required by law to keep.
17. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY ACT OR OMISSION OF YOU, YOUR TEAM, YOUR CREW, ANY OTHER MEMBER, ANY AI ASSISTANT OR ANY OTHER THIRD PARTY, INCLUDING WORK CARRIED OUT OR NOT CARRIED OUT, ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS ON SITE, PAYMENTS MADE OR NOT MADE BETWEEN MEMBERS, MEMBERS' CONTENT, DOCUMENTS, ESTIMATES, REVIEWS OR CONDUCT, DISPUTES BETWEEN MEMBERS, OR YOUR RELIANCE ON A VERIFICATION STATUS; (B) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, CONTRACTS OR DATA, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE; AND (C) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS TOGETHER ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PLATFORM OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE LESSER OF THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND US $100.
These limits apply to every kind of claim (contract, tort including negligence, statute or otherwise) and are an essential part of the price. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for our own fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct where the law does not allow it to be limited.
18. Your indemnity
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Planajob Ltd and its affiliates, officers, employees and contractors against any claim, loss, liability, fine and cost (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the platform, including anything done through your account by you, your team, your crew or any AI assistant you connect; work you carried out, arranged or awarded; content, documents, messages or data you provided; payments between you and other members; your classification, licensing, insurance or payment of workers; your breach of these terms; or your breach of the law - except to the extent a court finally finds it was caused by our own fraud or willful misconduct.
19. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately where these terms are broken or where we reasonably believe the platform or its members are at risk. Sections that by their nature survive termination (including sections 4, 5, 10, 12, 16, 17, 18, 21 and 22) continue to apply.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and the "last updated" date above will change. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect is acceptance of the updated terms. Changes to section 21 never apply to a dispute already notified to us.
21. Disputes - informal resolution, then individual arbitration
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS HOW DISPUTES ARE RESOLVED AND WAIVES THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO CLASS ACTIONS.
Talk to us first. Before starting any claim, the party with the dispute must email the other a written description of the dispute and the relief sought (to us at support@planajob.com), and both parties will try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days.
Binding arbitration. Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these terms or the platform that is not resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator. The arbitration will be conducted in English, by video conference or in writing where the rules allow, and otherwise in Wilmington, Delaware. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies, and either party may seek an injunction in court to stop infringement or misuse of its intellectual property, data or the platform.
No class actions and no jury. Claims may be brought only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate claims or award class-wide relief. TO THE EXTENT ANY CLAIM PROCEEDS IN COURT, BOTH PARTIES WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim (and only that claim) will proceed in court under section 22, not in arbitration.
22. Governing law and venue
These terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the platform are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to section 21, the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, and both parties consent to personal jurisdiction there.
23. General
These terms (with the Privacy Notice and any plan terms shown at checkout) are the entire agreement between you and us about the platform. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control. You agree to receive communications from us electronically, and that electronic notices satisfy any requirement that they be in writing. You confirm that you are not located in, or acting for anyone located in, a country or on a list subject to U.S. or U.K. sanctions.
